God has the final say

No matter what the general consensus is, or the current acceptance of the masses, the real, only and final say will be God's.

God allows Man to go his way and make a mess of things. I  wonder why God allows this, but you nor I am privy to that info. So, man takes every opportunity to do as he pleases and gives seemingly intelligent excuses for doing so, not matter if it's off in far left field from the Word of God.

But in the end, it's not going to matter what you nor I say or think. Everything is going to be viewed and judged according to God's Word. And, His Word is constant and doesn't change with the wind or with time or with what's popular or hip this year or next year.

God is a Holy God. His Word prevails when everything else fails. I'm keeping that in my mind and trying my best to live my life knowing that one day I will have to give an account and face my maker. By no means am I squeaky clean.  But, I will know I will be judged righteously and pray God knows I did my best at keeping to His Word in living my life to obey, love and serve Him.

Of course, if anyone doesn't believe in anything of God, that's their right. You are free to have your opinions and beliefs. God gave that to all. He will not force anyone to come to Him. He wants it to be your willing choice to come to Him. But one day, all will bow on bended knee to the Lord and all eyes will know then that He is Lord.  On that day no one can deny the Lord. Jesus is Lord. Jesus is the Alpha and Omega. Jesus is the Living Word.

All praise and glory belong to the Lord God

Man may have his say now. Hope it aligns with God's Word.

How can God be so awesome?

God is invisible. God is without any kind of limits. God is everywhere. God knows all. This all means we are nothing like God. We're mortal, and are limited by time and space and our incomplete knowledge of the universe, the world, and all it's occupants. We only know bits and pieces. Sometimes I think mankind has the foolish audacity to think we know more than God or even that we don't need God. Au contraire mon frere. We are part of God's creation and we will always, always need our Creator. He made us to need Him. We really can't make it from breath to breath without Him. How is it we get our little brains away from knowing that?  Just because we can't see Him, does not mean He does not exist. There are lots of things we can't see but trust that they are there. For instance, we know bacteria is on everything, but they're too minute to be seen, invisible to the naked eye. We know planets are out there far away in outer space, but too far away to be seen by our eyes, invisible, but still there. Just because we can't see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

The earth, wind, and sea, have the fingerprint of God

God is bigger than big, we can't see His beginning or ending. His height or His depth. We are the small ones and we need to remember that. Man has to use materials made by God in order to build skyscraper buildings and bridges. They can be toppled and nothing compared to God's magnificent creation of the earth and the oceans, the moon and countless stars, other planets, the amazing animal kingdom, and those things we can't contain like the seasons, air, the wind, time, wisdom, and love.

The more I think about it, the more I'm in awe of God's awesomeness. It would probably take millions of lifetimes to see and grasp His creation. Yes, we need God. He is real, He is awesome in that He put it all here and we're here to enjoy being a part of this time in eternity. But this isn't all there is to it. There is more to come. This is not the real home of Christians, heaven is. Just seeing the beauty of earth, heaven is going to be so awesome and make for the next phase of life in a new body that will be much better than the one we now live in.

I'm not going to site scripture references that heaven is for those who ask Jesus to be their personal Savior and Lord, and Jesus was sent to us to be The Way, The Truth, and The Life by God's design. It's all in the Holy Book for anyone to read. You can believe it or not. God is awesome and I trust His Holy Word and know He wants all his precious loved creation, every man woman and child to accept His most precious gift of Jesus.  Yes, God can't be nothing but awesome in wanting all His creation to know His love for your eternal soul to be in heaven and his gift of Jesus is proof of that. Hooking up with Jesus, you'll have a resurrected body like His. Jesus died and after three days, was made alive again. The power of death He conquered. The power of sin He conquered.  Awesome in every way! That's my God! He's real and He's awesome!

How can God be so awesome? There's only one answer to that.  Because He's the one, true, awesome God. (He's the 'awe' in awesome and nothing can touch Him). I praise His awesomeness!

Loving and praising Him on that narrow road journey The Lord leads me.

Divorce- you can't avoid the scars

I've experienced marriage and divorce. More than once, I'm not proud to say.  I want to shed a little advice that no one may share with you about divorce. Yes, it's so exciting finding someone you feel strongly about, and have honest intentions of living with and loving.  But you need to know getting married is not only about planning your wedding day and  honeymoon. Marriage is the union of two people into one.  It's a merger meant not be separated once joined.  Marriage is the leaving of your parents and be joined to another and the two are to be glued together for life as one.  What? For life? No way you say!  There is divorce so I can rid myself if this marriage if things don't work out.  Yes, that may be so, but it's not the way God intended it to be. So,God allows divorce, but along with divorce comes some pretty deep scars.

Marriage was designed by God to be forever

You don't totally get away from divorce and be as you prior to marriage. With divorce you're legally freed from your former spouse, but in actuality, whether you want to believe this or not, when you were joined together as husband and wife, a little of what was shared to become one flesh in God's eyes- that can't be undone. Just like history can't be undone. In God's eyes, you were one flesh. Then when you get divorced, your physical separation made scars. Those scars can be on your heart, your mind, your thoughts, your character, your actions. You had a life together and that can't be wiped away from history. Why? Because marriage was created by God. God's design was perfect. It was to be permanent. It was to symbolize love on earth between two people of different sexes, to raise offspring and grow children and share in loving God. This is what is called going forth, being fruitful and  multiplying. And with each person, God wanted a personal relationship. God wanted to commune with His creation which He so adored and loved and wished to obey Him. Obey? Yes, obey as a good parent wants their children to obey them to protect them from harm. There's a lot of possible harm a child could get into, and loving parents' responsibility is to protect their children. When children don't obey, then all sorts of harm are just an arms length away. God made marriage and the family as an institution on earth as a symbol of what it will be like in heaven. Love. Forever.

But when man wants to do it contrary to God's plan, then there is no escaping the scars.
So take those marriage vows very seriously and your marriage day to be joined to another seriously. If you can't honor the vows, then don't be joined together.  That day should be not something you rush into. Scars are forever.
You can get over your ex and move on, but like a broken bone, there will always be some evidence of the break.  Avoid divorce at all costs is best for all now and in the future.

Scars are inevitable when marriage ties are broken

Who's untouchable and beyond compare?

That's God. He's untouchable. He lives in the heavens. He looks down upon all His creation. He sees all. He's beyond measure, and description or comparison. He's the One True God. And no matter what man can think of Him, write of Him, or wonder of Him, we can never grasp His full greatness, His supreme majesty, His infinite wisdom, His holy Holiness.  No man, whether he be the Pope, or a nation's Ruler, or a man or woman possessing a high intelligence quota, no matter what they have, whether it be power, money, charisma,  a worldwide popularity status, all of these things are a minuscule speck of dust and no match in comparison to God Almighty.

God created what man uses to build

I don't know why people in general think it's possible to live without God.  He made the air, the rain, the Sun.  I am so thankful God has mercy and patience with mankind.  He could take the oxygen out of the air, and where would we be?  God could easily make the world stop revolving on it's axis, and where would we be?  God could decide to make photosynthesis stop, or make all fish in the oceans die, or the ocean currents stop, or prevent another drop of rain from falling, or make all volcanoes erupt continuously. Then were would we be? He has every orchestrated natural occurrence under His command.

Every volcano and action in nature is under God's power

God is high. God's wisdom is far beyond and way above anything man can wildly imagine. We can't know what's going to happen in the future. But God does. We can't being all things together, but God can. Man grows older as time ticks on. Man is bound to space and time limits. To God, time is nothing and He is omniscient, nothing can contain Him for He is mightier, bigger, higher, and wiser than all His creation.

Time is nothing to God

We need God for the next breath of air. We have a limited number of days in the flesh. On the other hand, our soul will live on forever in the place of your choosing. God has made the provision for every person to decide your own fate.  In the high wisdom, God has left it for you to decide your fate. He's laid it all down for you. No sin can enter heaven. And your soul will never die. It's up to you where your soul will go after you take your last breath in the flesh.  Remember, absent from the body, present with the Lord. That is true only for those who've chosen to accept God's Son, Jesus, as your personal savior. If you haven't done so, your fate is not so bright.  So choose the Bright Morning Star, also known as Jesus.

Good life,regardless

I'm amazed when people excel despite hardships and struggles. It makes me wonder where do they get their strength, who is their model, what keeps them so positive and motivated?  What is their secret? What is their source of strength?

I came across these videos a couple years ago and revisit them and amazed each time I see this guy. I know you will be also.

Click here and view videos and be amazed at his contagious perseverance and inspirational message.  This is for real. This is great! This is inspiring!

So, if Nick Vujicic can be positive in life inspite of his shortcomings,  then what's keeping someone battling drugs, or a physical handicap, or living under any number of life struggles from seeking God's help and winning?  God is so able and willing. The question is are you willing to allow Him?  Something to think about today.

Remember, with God, Nothing Is Impossible!

With the Son, anything can be conquered

The choice gift

Oh, what a gift. The other day I was driving and had to stop when I saw this church sign.

This message- Jesus, our choicest gift from God

Let me explain what the message of this sign means to me. God, in His infinite wisdom and love, sent a special gift to us, Jesus. Mankind needed Jesus in order to save us from the penalty of sin, which is death. Let me qualify 'death'. There are two deaths- physical and spiritual.  God created man with a spirit which will live forever.  Spiritual death is the forever separation from the goodness of God in the horrible Lake of Fire, where your spirit will forever reside. Let me qualify 'spirit'. Your spirit existing outside the presence of God will experience death forever since your spirit will exist forever.  This spiritual death will be nothing like physical death, for it will be an ongoing death.  For only God is good, God is love. There is non other. God created man for us to commune with Him.  So if you're banished from God's presence, this will be eternal spiritual death. Spiritual death is something we can't compare right now for we are still existing in our fleshly bodies and Jesus hasn't returned. Your spirit will live forever with God in heaven, or without God in the Lake of Fire.  God has given you the freedom to make your choice.

God has provided the most important thing we need for our eternal future, and that's Jesus. With Jesus you have God's very best goodness now and forever. God, in His love and mercy has spared us from what we deserve because He wants no one to perish to hell and ultimately the Lake of Fire.  Accepting Jesus is God's way to spare you from sin's dark penalty. When you ask Jesus into your heart and accept Him as your Lord and Savior, you're spirit is instantly reborn anew, refreshed, redeemed and you're an heir to God's promises of goodness. God so loves every soul. But, you have to choice to accept God's free gift-He won't force anyone to accept it. Willingly wanting and accepting it is up to you. You see, this world our eternal home- heaven is. For Christians, the best is yet to come.

Everyone has sin in their life and sin has power over you. God sent His Son, Jesus to save you from the penalty of sin and help you conquer that sin.  And, no sin can enter heaven. Asking and accepting what Jesus did on the Cross for you, paying for all your sin(s) is the only way into heaven. When you ask Jesus into your heart, you are exercising faith and trusting God, and God is faithful and true to His Word. Your spirit is born, this is called the second birth or born-again. Inside, the old you is passed away-you're a brand new creation on the inside. God sees the purity of Jesus when He looks at you after you've asked Jesus into your heart. This is a spiritual transformation and one with eternal perks and benefits.  Your sins are forgiven and you're adopted into God's family. You still won't be perfect, but by accepting Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, not only are you redeemed unto God, you now have heaven to look forward to. The rest of your life, serve God for the wonderful gift of life He has done for you, so one day when you're face to face with your Lord, you have many crowns to present to Him in heaven. You know, it's like being invited to a long awaited, special occasion and not anything to present to the person of honor. You don't want to be empty handed. Knowing you're future is solidly secure because you have Jesus in your heart, you're sins are forgiven, you're in right standing with God, you're heaven bound, you can confidently serve others and point them to Jesus as well so they can have the same.  Each person and soul you lead or point to Jesus is another crown you'll have to present to Jesus.

Bible scripture - Book of John, entire Chapter 6
John 10:28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.
Romans 8:2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
1John 5:11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
Revelation 21:6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.
Ephesians 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

Get off that broad highway leading downward and onto the narrow path leading upward. Keep the faith and keep journeying forward to your high calling.

The journey is good

Each challenge that is encountered in life to climb higher, hurdle over, pray through, cry about, stand firm in, grow from, allow God to handle, I am brought closer to the Lord, gain more knowledge about the Lord, and gain more quality characteristics of Jesus to boot. That's being put through the furnace and being formed like clay into something beautiful. It's also gaining wisdom.  The journey is good. Not one time has God allowed me to go hungry.  Not one time have I been naked. Not one time have I been threatened or have to make a life or death decision. Not once have I been without shelter, water or loved ones.  So the journey has been good. The challenges, temporary set backs and frustrations are just momentary glitches in comparison to the totality of life and the lasting lessons that have been so important in forming my character, making me who I am today. It takes some time to work situations and work in others and myself, but God does work all things out for the good to those who love the Lord. That is a promise and a sure thing from God.  God is good. The lessons He teaches are good. My spiritual growth and deepening faith which every challenge teaches me has been good. I may not always see the value of each lesson right away, but later I can look back and see that it all happened for good.  Amazing how God works everything out at the right time.  God has me right where I am supposed to be.  I wouldn't change a thing. The journey is good. The journey's been lined with God's goodness every step along the way.  Can you say the same of your journey?

A journey led by God is a good journey

Not being pushy, but you've got to decide

I have a friend who has cancer. His doctor's have reported there's nothing medically that can be done other than manage his pain with medication.  He continues to work as he normally has. I'm mainly concerned about the health of his soul over the health of his body.   I've tried my best over some weeks telling him it's not too late to make sure he knows for sure and is settled confidently on grounds spiritually speaking, of course, with God. I've made it very clear it's up to him to do that, but I am always available if he's not sure about his salvation and his eternal future. Clearly,  I would gladly do a Bible search to find specific scripture references so he would know God's Word on being back-slidden, being saved, or where your soul goes after the first death(death of the flesh), but more importantly, after the second death (spiritual separation from God). I can also ask my Pastor if there's something I can't locate in the Bible. Sadly, my friend has not asked me any questions, and every time I see him, I want to know if he's taken care of the most important decision of his life. He keeps telling me he doesn't want to talk about that right now. That's his decision and I am not going to corner anyone into making such a very important, personal, eternal decision. Against my normal character, I keep my mouth shut and pray one day he will bring the matter up to me.  Perhaps he just doesn't want me to know his decision. That's alright. I don't have to know. I've done what I could do in talking, writing, praying, and pointing to my friend to the one true source of hope and love and life.  God is always near, always eager to forgive, and always ready to welcome souls into the family of God.  He and anyone only needs to ask God, accept His Son as their Lord and Savior. I'm not being pushy to anyone to make their decision. When you get down to it, it really is a very critical decision because your decision will affect you for a very long time, like for the rest of eternity. And it's difficult for us mortals now to comprehend eternity. The best way I can explain it is, this decision for Jesus or not for Jesus will play on you forever and ever without end. So your decision best be the right one. That's not being pushy, just matter of fact.  Enough said, for now.

On Calvary, Jesus paid for mankind's sins. Ask Him into your heart.
